If You Don't Like It, Change It!

 

The great Jim Rohn has stated that “Failure is nothing more than a few errors in judgment repeated every day.” This happens because we don’t see an immediate consequence to our actions - nothing drastic happens immediately so we continue to err.

Over the long term, though, those errors in judgment add up.

Fortunately, this principle works for success as well. As Jim Rohn stated, “Success is a few simple disciplines practiced daily.”

So how do we change between those errors in judgment to the daily disciplines to ensure success?

We have to think about the future, the long term. This is done by asking yourself, “What’s the logical conclusion or result of my daily actions?”

In my own life, I wanted to increase my flexibility and agility but wasn't doing anything to make a difference or improve. I wasn't performing the physical therapy exercises I'd been given. I wasn't stretching. I knew the end result was me being immobilized sooner. I...

Getting Off Course

Some days are better than others. There are days we're in the zone and days we don't know who we are. When I'm having a down day, usually I feel lost, scattered, and not sure what to do next. Years of using countless productivity systems and reading personal development books will tell you it's because you've lost touch with your why. You've gotten away from your mission, your passion, what drives you.

I logically know if I'm not focused on my highest priorities, I can easily stray off course. However, there's a difference between getting off course and wondering if you're on the right path. What does it even mean to be on the "right" path? There are so many paths we could choose to pursue each day, it's overwhelming. Add crippling self-doubt, and you've got a recipe for a miserable existence.
